Wilderness Way Community

Nature Sunday

Hiking, being out in nature, reflecting on ancient wisdom, having one-on-one conversations, learning about ourselves and the history of our area, allowing ourselves to be transformed through a multitude of ways...these are all part of our "nature" Sunday, the third Sunday of each month.  Connecting with the natural world is imperative for our journey together in the Wilderness Way Community, and these Sundays help us keep grounded in this source of ancient wisdom.  Whether in the Gorge, in one of the many wildlife refuges or parks in the area, or within Portland itself, we will spend the morning soaking in the natural beauty, intentionally reflecting on a particular theme or passage, and continuing to listen to what our call is as individuals and as a community.  Unless otherwise noted, we will meet at 9:30 to carpool (meeting place depends upon where we are going), and spend from 10:00 to noon out in nature.
